Hatter's Crochet Corner was founded by Madeline Newsome in the hopes of being able to share her love and appreciation of crochet with others both within the community and outside of it while also raising awareness about the detriment to society known as fast fashion. 

Fast fashion is defined as inexpensive clothing produced rapidly by mass-market retailers in response to the latest trends. This wouldn't be a problem if the workers in these factories were getting paid for their time but unfortunately, this is not the case! 

Many people don't understand the authenticity and amount of work that goes into handmade items because of the readiness for fast fashion. Crochet cannot be imitated by a machine! Each stitch is hand-made which takes time and dedication.
